European Postal and Telecommunications Union
Was there technical integration between the countries of the European continent during the Second World War – under German domination? To what extent happened this in continuity with the developments before and after the war when it comes operational choices, actors, and institutional frameworks? Is there a difference to see between cooperation and collaboration? The EUROPTT Project team headed by Pascal Griset et Leonard Laborie on the French side and by Guido Thiemeyer and Christian Henrich-Franke on the German one hopes to answer all these questions and more. The project is co-financed by the ANR and the DFG. The focus of the project is the European Postal and Telecommunications Union founded in 1942 in Vienna but it will explore from 2018 until 2021 also different infrastructures such as rail, radio diffusion and more. The aim of the Carnet is the diffusion of information about the project and our advancements to the scientific public. We would research like to attract other researchers with similar research focus in order to profit from possible synergies.
